In a high country snowstorm, the Rio Grande Ski Train departs Winter Park, Colorado, after unloading a large group of happy skiers on January 13, 2001. Former Rio Grande business car “Wilson McCarthy,” now Ansco No. 100, the “Kansas,” carries the markers down Winter Park hill towards Tabernash, where the train will be wyed for the return trip.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
