I sight I only got to see once, three SD90MAC-H II, 6000 horsepower EMD's. Brand new 8551, 8552 and a few months older 8525 are just about to enter Salt Lake Cities north yard. The 6000 horsepower experiment did end well. The EMD 6000 hp units meet an early demise after only a few years. The 6000 hp Union Pacific GE's last longer, but all have since been re-motored with 4500 hp power plants.
