Variety of locomotives in Juniata locomotive shop under a threatening sky that would bring heavy rain during the afternoon. Built in 1888 - 1990 and expanded in 1924 - 1925, Juniata Shop it was an expansion of the former Altoona Machine Shops - Altoona Works, large railroad industrial complex belonging to Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR). For many years it was the largest railroad shop complex in the world. In Juniata Locomotive Shop steam locomotives were built between 1891 - 1946, also electric locomotives. Currently they continue making great and valuable works in their facilities, of repair, manufacture and reconstruction of locomotives, for Norfolk Southern.
