Remarks & Notes
About 4 p.m. on a clear January 31st, Ft. Worth & Western's FWCR, the Cresson Turn, treads lightly on jointed rail just south of Tower 60. Once the train reaches the spot where the photographer is standing, it'll hit 136-pound welded rail and increase its speed accordingly. The train has five EMDs for power. FWWR has seen a boom in traffic, with frac sand headed for San Angelo in the Permian Basin leading the list of reasons.
