VL85 electric 25 kV AC lokomotive heading freight train on Transsiberian railway, which passes along the southern shore of Lake Baikal. VL85 is one of the most powerful serially produced locomotives in the world (max power of VL85 is 10020 kW, max speed - 110 km/h; the length of VL85 is 45 m, it has 12 axles). VL85 series were manufactured by Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Works between 1983 and 1994.
