The Tennesee Valley Railroad Museum is home to not one, but two operational Southern Railways coal-fired steam locomotives. #630 is a 1904 American Locomotives 2-8-0 Consolidation.with over 46,000 pounds of tractive effort. #4501 is a slightly heavier 1911 Baldwin built 2-8-2 Mikado with around 54,000 pounds of tractive effort. Both locomotives participated in the March 12th and 13th, 2018 Lerro Productions photo charter.
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
