Remarks & Notes
Riding to a switch
Brakeman A.J. “Allen” Sillitoe rides the steps of Rio Grande EMD SD40T-2 No. 5371 to the next switch while setting out dirt train cars at Wash, Utah, on October 25, 2007. During this era, instead of bringing the LJP45 dirt train cars into Helper Yard, they would set them out at Wash for pick up by UP Denver-Roper manifest trains.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
