Remarks & Notes
As we approach the shortest daylight hours of the year here in Alaska, even the trains are in short supply. Not many trains at all on the south end of the RR, one that did run was the annual Holiday Train seen at Potter about 1 PM. With sunset around 330 PM the sun doesn't get very high in the sky this time of year.

Good Light, Good Scenery, and a Train

Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.

A far cry from the common wedgie ... and particularly well executed.

Nocturnal Nuances: Sunset To Sunrise & All Through The Night!

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
