| Eventually...All Good Things Come to an End. Looking back on my travels aboard the popular Reno Fun Train...its hard to image that the likelihood of this train operating again is low. From rising operating costs to Amtrak's 2018 policy change of private cars and charter trains, the days of the Reno Fun Train winding over Donner Pass - moving thousands of patrons over the mountain every season - appear to officially be over. In this scene, AMTK 822 and companion AMTK 145 have their dynamic brakes working hard as they bring the westbound fun train out of Blue Canyon and closer to its final destination of Oakland. |
