2000 or 2018!?
NS AC01, the Alton Park job with a assigned crew is getting ready to start it's shift, and doing the honor is GP59 NS 4621, and GP38-2 NS 5280, is slowly leaving out of the Diesel Shop lead , and is heading for East-End Avenue, where they will wait for a signal by CT-Dispatcher to head on to the main for Shipps Yard. NS 4621 is one out of 18 of the GP59 left on the active locomotive roster, that doesn't include the other 12 other GP59 from 4650-4661 that was rebuilt in the previous years as a enhanced model, and has the letter E added on the end of the class type GP59E. NS 5280 is 1 of 301 GP38-2 that is still handing on for dear life, and don't believe their going anywhere at this time. Even through the Teir-4 eco rebuilding era on Norfolk Southern it's nice to still see older power still being used, that hasn't been rebuilt just yet. Photo was taken from the Chattanooga Tent Co.
