A crew of military servicemen from the United States Army Transportation Corps stage a load at a yard in Strasburg, PA in preparation for movement to the port the following day. USATC 2-6-0 No. 89, acquired from the Canadian National, serves as the motive power. An old RDG Camelback sits off to the right, pending a major overhaul. In actuality, this is a staged scene at the Strasubrg Rail Road which, with a nod to the Memorial Day Holiday, took on a military theme. The event was put together as a fundraiser for a recent barn fire at Verdant View Farm, one of the railroad's neighbors and raised nearly $11,000.
