Newport, Vermont is holding a Centennial Celebration in 2018 and on July 1, hosted a series of special excursions on Central Maine & Quebec and Vermont Railway trackage as part of the events. CMQ GP38M-3 3812 is leading a trio of Green Mountain Railroad passenger cars, along with Vermont Railway GP40-2 303, are seen at Orleans, Vermont, the southern terminus of the Centennial trips.
Although most only provide freight service, regional railroads have passenger operations; not only executive trains but also charity events and excursions.
