Remarks & Notes |
Of this type DMU only one exists: it was built in 1954 by Allan in Rotterdam. By then it was an inspection vehicle of the management. This carriage bears the nickname 'Camel' because of the two bumps where the driver cabs are. The travelers have unobstructed views of the railway. After 1973 it was rented out commercially and received the yellow housestyle of NS. It was taken out of service in 1991 and put into the railway museum in Utrecht but NS was still the owner. In 2004, it got back his original blue livery and in 2008 the carriage was made ready for use. Here it is on the way from Hengelo to Utrecht Maliebaan where the railway museum is located. |
