WCRC’s 37668 began tests of its Hitachi ERTMS equipment at Machynlleth in the early hours of 10th September 2015, working from Machynlleth to Tywyn and return. This is the first piece of rolling stock other than the Class 97/3s and Class 158s to gain Movement Authority under ERTMS Level 2 on the Cambrian, with Movement Authority gained at 01:09. (As work is being done on the footbridge, Platform 1 is currently inaccessible to the public, else I’d have taken these photos from that platform.)
