Starting from Budapest, the "Danube Express" luxury charter train, consisting of 11 coaches, traveled from north to south through Italy, driven by Trenitalia passenger
division locomotives.
The trip entitled "Sicilian Odyssey", includes for travelers, visits to Venice, Verona, Cremona, Rimini (with a visit to San Marino by bus), Bari, Torre Annunziata (with visits to Pompeii and Herculaneum), Palermo (with excursion) in Corleone), Agrigento, Ragusa, Siracusa (and excursion to Caltagirone), Catania and finally Taormina.
Then with other travelers this train returned to Venice, touching the same places of the first leg but in the opposite direction.
