| Union Pacific's passenger special that has been flip-flopping back and forth across Colorado finally made it to Utah today. It left Helper with a Provo crew taking it to Roper Yard in Salt Lake City. I spoke with the conductor in Helper just before it left and he told me that the train was headed to Portola, CA. This location, just below Kyune, was the first sunlight after leaving Helper due to an early AM departure and complete shadow in Price River Canyon. |
