Over the weekend I headed out for some Missouri BNSF trains action. The Brookfield Sub was on my mind since some of the old Q-signals are left along the line. Luck would have it we would score 4 trains in about 5 hours on Saturday. With 9700 tons on the drawbars, these 3 units lug this westbound Wilmar, MN, to Kansas City, MO, freight over the grade at Bucklin. This westbound is almost to the top of .87% grade here at the State Route 129 overpass in downtown Bucklin. Bucklin is located between Brookfield and West Quincy on this lightly used secondary mainline.
