| Passenger or freight train? "Allegra" railcar ABe 8/12 # 3511 of the Rhaetian Railway is pulling train 1633 from St.Moritz to Tirano along the frozen and snow covered Lago Bianco on about 2250 meter a.s.l. In the rear of the train are 6 empty fuel oil tank cars, added at Pontresina and going to Campocologno. The train is crossing the bridge "Al Lago" (at the lake), which was built in 1949, when the line in this section was relocated from the slope, to avoid snowdrifting. On the left the large staff house at Ospizio (now rented out as holiday lodging) and the covered turntable for the steam snow blower (now used as covered stub track). |
