4-6-2 passenger train steamlocomotive 21C127 # 34027 "Taw Valley" is a Southern Railway "West Country" class for 90 mph running. It was built in 1946 in the Brighton Works and withdrawn in 1964. Operational again since october 1987 and owned by Phil Swallow. The locomotive is pulling a photo charter train between Bewdley and Kidderminster on the Severn Valley Railway. The round white discs at the front of the locomotive are Southern Railway head signals, shown during daylight hours instead of white lamps during darkness, to designate the following routes/special workings. |
