| Going under Poplar Avenue in Memphis, ES44DC units CSXT 5394 & 5248 pull a string of containers as CSX Y101 rolls through Aulon Junction en route to CSX Leewood Yard on the north side of town. The train enters enters the junction as a southbound CN freight rolls by under Poplar and Union Avenues. If you look closely, you can see the abandoned ROW of the former NC&StL in the center of the shot. That line once hosted the passenger run of the City of Memphis to Nashville and back many, many years ago. |
