Remarks & Notes |
Sunday's night B-41 local left Mason City around 2am with a wedge plow and 69 cars for the Sheldon Sub. Multiple derailments of the plow at iced over crossings changed the plans around noontime. The plow was setout at Britt and onward west B41 went with B42's crew onboard. The B42 crew is down to about 25 minutes to work as they past MP 212. Only 5 miles are left before this crew will stop for the day at the Spencer depot. As the power shows the crew has been busy today busting drifts as they work west opening the Sheldon Sub up from the weekend shutdown and another winter storm with wind. The small town of Dickens is the elevator in the background. It is too bad the CP dug this drift out, cause it can be a big one out on this end. |
