Amtrak #3, the outbound Southwest Chief, hustles west through Aurora, passing a stopped eastbound coal train at the High Street bridge. Those shadows were making me sweat a bit as I awaited Amtrak's arrival, but thankfully they were running on time and made a timely arrival. Today's leader is something you don't see too often on these long distance trains. P32BWH #500 is in charge and will be taken off at Kansas City and used on the Missouri River Runner service to St. Louis.
