Remarks & Notes |
The engineer on the iconic "Crododile" Ce 6/8 III # 14305 of SBB Historic is running the train with 3 passenger cars on the grade of up to 5.0 % of the Südostbahn line down from Rothenthurm towards Sattel-Aegeri and Arth Goldau, the maximum velocity according to the train weight and brake power is 30 km/h. The crocodile has an electric brake, but strong enough for maximum of the locomotive weight on this heavy grade, so the air brake is needed again and again. The 1810 kW locomotive was built in 1925 by SLM and MFO and is based at Olten.
