Remarks & Notes
Crawling at a whopping 10 MPH, this heavy coal load is finally done doing the three hour battle up the northern slope of the Palmer Divide. Here, the engineer begins to watch his train crest the summit, next to Palmer Lake, and will slowly transition into dynamics and control his train at 25 MPH down the grade into Colorado Springs.
