Metro-North Railroad train 443 began its journey at Grand Central Terminal, and underground. Four miles later, the train has emerged from the tunnel and encounters an afternoon snow squall, quite different than the clear and sunny (but still cold) weather in New York City earlier in the day. This train is heading from GCT in downtown Manhattan to Greystone, some 18 miles up the Hudson River Line. MNCW 225, a dual-mode (operating on either diesel or third-rail electric power) P32AC-DM locomotive is leading this seven-car train on January 30, 2019. This first stop on the journey is here, at the Harlem-125th Street Station.
