Remarks & Notes
Speeding through the desert at 70 miles per hour (112.654 km/h) is BNSF train Z-NYCLAC9-11, conveying a trainload of trailers and containers from New York NY to Los Angeles CA. This train is passing through Bryman, a small community 25 miles from Barstow and part of Oro Grande, California – and at this speed, the train won’t be here for long! A solid set of General Electric diesels is powering this train (GE diesels comprise about 98% of the locomotives on the BNSF’s Cajon Sub): BNSF ES44AC 6157, Dash 9-44CW 5525, ES44DC 7802, ES44AC 6369 and ES44AC 6399.
