Not all of Chicago’s "El" trains are elevated. The Chicago Transit Authority’s Pink Line has some ground level running, complete with grade crossings. Pink Line train 303, with Bombardier 5000-series car 5054 on the front, dashes through the snow as it approaches the Kildare Avenue grade crossing at the eastern end of the Kostner Station in the city's Lawndale neighborhood on a snowy Veterans Day 2019. This train is originated in downtown Chicago’s Loop, and is nearing its terminus at 54th/Cermak.
