The Deseret Power Ry. has just finished unloading its 44 car trainload of coal at Utah’s Bonanza Power Plant. It is just getting up to speed heading east back to the loading and shop area in western Colorado. Since this is a Tuesday, it will re-load and make another run to Bonanza a little after 4PM. Eastern Utah has had one snowfall so far this Fall, but it’s all gone now. The air is crystal clear and the colors and contrasts are beautiful. Soon enough it will be below zero out here. Enjoy the views of the very last electric, heavy haul, freight railroad in the USA.
