"HST 125" train of the LNER (London North Eastern Railway, sucessor of Virgin Trains East Coast) with 2250 HP power car (MAN prime mover) 43 # 316 in the rear (and another in front) is leaving Edinburgh Waverley station and enetering the Calton North tunnel. The train is running as 1E13 from Inverness (departure 07.55 AM) to London Kings Cross (arrival 15.47). It is one of the longest train journeys in the United Kingdom at 581 miles with a journey time of just under eight hours. This train will be run in the near future by AZUMA trains of class 800. |
