Remarks & Notes |
Electric locomotive 92 # 033 of GB Railfreight in the caledonian blue paint scheme to pull the "Caledonian Sleeper" night train between London Euston and Edinburgh/Glasgow. 46 of this 5 MW dual-voltage electric locomotives were built in 1993 to 1996 by ABB and Brush Traction, which can run on 25 kV AC from overhead wires or 750 V DC from a third rail, mainly for the traffic through the Channel tunnel. Remarks added: The 750 V capability has gone. The locomotive got a large refurbishment at Wabtec’s Brush Traction facility in Loughborough for the new service. Note the additional special Dellner couplings. |
