Marion Junction must have been something of a hot spot 'back in the day', with the single main from Selma splitting into three lines headed for Mobile, Demopolis (and points west) and a connection with the Birmingham-NOLA main at York. The York line has been gone for many years, and there isn't exactly a flood of traffic on the two remaining lines, so the Junction is a much quieter place these days. Still probably one of the busier small town railfanning spots in this part of Alabama.
