| "Market Local at Casa Redimix"
The daily CSX Hunts Point Market Local shoves west through the sidewalk of Casa Redimix Concrete Corporation on it's way to the Market in the Bronx. This is one of 3 busy industries that the train must pass through in order to get to the line's only customer, the Hunts Point Cooperative Market. What's unique about this line is that when train enters the branch, it must hold to allow workers to clear the tracks of any scrap debris handling equipment and trucks before proceeding down the rest of the line. The second the train clears, the industries continue their work until the train comes back out again. |
