Mid-afternoon charge over Miller's Wash. Sporting one of the classiest paint schemes in all of tourist railroading, Grand Canyon Railway Consolidation #29 continues her mid-afternoon dash toward Williams, seen here crossing the dry stream bed at Miller's Wash, just a mile and half south of Willaha. Although she spent her entire working career as a freight hog, this engine looks right at home on a passenger consist and puts on an excellent show. While it's a bit sad to think that she'll be a static display for the foreseeable future, it's also good to know that her owners fully intend to keep her and if and when the time comes that she is needed again, there is a very competent shop on site that is more than capable of putting her back on the road.
