Remarks & Notes
When Milwaukee road was in its heyday, their double track main though the western Minnesota prairies did encounter several river valleys on its way west. One such spot, known as Watson Sag still exists today. What doesn't, is their eastbound main, which split from the westbound, climbed the steep valley into the town of Watson, then back down the other side. A section still exists into town and is solely used as storage. Milwaukee is long gone, but the Twin Cities & Western still uses this portion. Here, the West End Job returns east with 25 loads of grain from the Appleton Elevator.
