| The Iowa Northern runs an annual Snowflake Express fundraiser train for the Magical Mix Kids, which provides trips to Disney World for locally chronically and terminally ill children. The train ran 6-45 minute trips from Waterloo to Washburn. Here the job is about 2 miles south of Bryant Yard. Old ex-Rock Island signals still can be found in a few spots along the tracks. Guess the IANR went thru this fall and had a tree trimming service cut the top off the railroad. One can really notice the tree tunnel is gone here, looks funky! |
