Remarks & Notes |
An interesting comparison of the fastest Japanese steam locomotive 4-6-4 "Hudson" C 62 # 17 (which reached 129 km/h on cape gauge in 1954) with the experimental train 300X in the large entrance hall of the SCMaglev and Railway Park in Nagoya. The test vehicle 300X of the 955 class reached 443 km/h on 26th july, 1996 on the "Tokaido-Shinkansen" line and was withdrawn in 2002. |
