D&RGW #485 is backing its train into the remains of the snowshed which covers the tail of the wye atop Cumbres Pass, the high point of the C&TS at 10,015'. Of course, the real #485 was irreparably damaged when it fell into the turntable pit in Salida, CO in 1953. Here, #489 has been re-lettered to stand in for our event.
