Northbound CSX Q580-24 (Charlotte,NC-Nashville,TN) is running at track speed just south of historic downtown Stevenson as the sun peak out for a brief moment. With rail traffic being on the light side this afternoon, the short manifest continues north through town and continued it's long journey for Nashville, TN. Note the YN2 C44-9W CSXT 9033 1 of 53 C44-9W that were derated from 4400 to 4000hp, that is left on the active CSX locomotive roster. Their time on being on CSX is slowly coming to an end, as CSX is starting to phase out their older GE-fleet for newer tier 4 compliant locomotives.
