On a gloomy March day, a pair of LTEX SW1500s, 1074 and 1100, are done with their day’s work and are heading back to the little engine servicing facility operated by the Raritan Central Railway in the Raritan Center industrial complex. Along with these two leased engines, the RCRY also operates a small fleet of their own locomotives in this center. LTEX 1074 is the former Union Pacific 1074, originally Southern Pacific 2468, and LETX 1100 is ex-UP 1100, built as SP 2507. To see LTEX 1074 in service forty years earlier, click HERE.
