Over 100 years ago, believe it or not, this little piece of heaven along the Youghiogheny River was a bustling little lumber and coal town of Indian Creek, PA. On the other side of the B&O stone bridge was another bridge and connection to the Indian Creek Valley Railroad. The town had over 200 residents with the aforementioned lumber and coal industries. After a few buyouts, ultimately with the B&O being the final purchaser and dwindling industrial needs, the town is no longer and the railroad abandoned. The B&O stood strong, although not as much today with current events, but still carries freight on the CSX freight arteries including here along the Youghiogheny River and the beautiful Laurel Highlands.
