After getting back on home rails, the westbound freight NS 101 (Bull Gap,TN-Memphis,TN/UP) creeps across Crow Creek on the NS Memphis East-End approaching the east-end of the siding Stevenson (MP-281.1A) or "Crow Creek." Going by track warrant orders, NS 101 will have to come to a stop at the switch where the conductor will have to get off, line the switch against the main, so NS 101 can get into the siding, and get ready to meet counterpart train NS 102. This was a hard to shoot location due to the face that their isn't any road access to the trestle, the only way to get a good ground photo was to hike down rough terrain to the bridge along the main, or stand on the raggedy one lane Russell Pike bridge, so we had to result to the next best thing. Isn't it funny that some of the best location are hard to get to. Photo from the John Kirk Collection.
