Vermont Rail System detour train RDBD-22 is seen northbound on the New England Central Railroad Sugar River Trestle at Claremont, NH on July 22, 2020, with the now normal quartet of GMTX GP38-2 leasers. A total of 8 GMTX GP38-2s were leased by the State of Vermont to facilitate the detours and one set of four is currently handling the trains from Rutland to Bellows Falls and the other, from Burlington to Bellows Falls, both doing respective round trips back to their origin. On July 22, the detour was timed perfectly with one of very few sunny periods as it crossed the high bridge over the Sugar River on the way back from Bellows Falls to Burlington.
