Remarks & Notes |
"Electric Stone at West Haven"
Amtrak NHDX 611 coasts past West Haven Station on Metro North's New Haven Line with 2 Siemens ACS-64s towing a loaded 16-car stone train. The train is heading to New Haven Union Station where it will receive an engine and crew change to continue to a work site in Groton, CT. Work trains that require travel between Hudson Yard and New Haven are usually towed with electric locomotives to comply with the "strict" requirements inside of Penn Station. |
