| This ex SAR Garratt locomotive of the GMAM class is still a mystery to me to this day. It appears to have been very recently repainted in a light blue livery and does not bear any number or plate that could help in its identification. In 1983 it was operational on the Witbank mining network. It is possible that this is one of the GMAM's that was purchased by Dunn's Locomotive and Boiler Works in Witbank, from Durban Navigation Colliery in Danhauser, Natal. |
