The conductor of the now-abolished NS H02 prepares to step off of his train to change ends for the shove move down the Gladstone Branch to Berkeley Heights. Typically, such a move would involve a caboose, but here, the train has no shoving platform. Within a few months after this photo, freight on the Gladstone Branch would be a thing of the past. NS 3010 (ex-CR 3289) was sold to the Lake State Railway Company in June of 2020.
