A southbound Danbury Shuttle approaches its station stop at Merritt 7, so-named because the area is at the junction of two major highways, U.S. 7 and the Merritt Parkway. A large office and residential complex has sprung up there over the past 30 or so years, but the Metro-North station there is little more than a concrete slab and a bus-style shelter - the only station on the Danbury Branch without a high-level platform. That's set to change; you can see construction for a new station alongside the train, which will have a high platform and be much better connected to the offices and apartments surrounding it.
