Remarks & Notes |
Amtrak #6 is just arriving at Salt Lake Central Station. Central Station is a hub for several modes of transit in the Salt Lake Valley; Utah Transit Authority bus lines, Amtrak, UTA TRAX light rail and UTA FrontRunner commuter heavy rail all pass through here. The 2 empty tracks on the right are for the north and southbound Frontrunner trains. Just barely visible in the background is the headlight of Union Pacific’s MNPRO holding back of busy 2nd South Street waiting for #6 to clear the switches leading to the station. Those brick buildings in the background are the ex. D&RGW backshop, now owned by the Utah Transit Authority. |
