Hibernation. The Seashore Trolley Museum closes for the winter after its holiday events, as seen on Friday, February 26, 2021. But as any volunteer will tell you, this is when a lot of other work gets done. As the first and largest electric railway museum in the world, it hosts a substantial collection of not only rail and rubber tired vehicles, but also several historic structures that have been moved to the grounds in Kennebunkport, Maine. On any given day during the operating season, one can ride trolleys, rapid transit vehicles, and historic buses.
