On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, two CN “northern tourists” on freight Q453 back their yard drops past the S-761 signals into Wildwood Yard where the former SAL FC&P Orlando Division connects to the S Line off the wye near the busy Lynum Street Crossing. The S Line is one of the busiest freight lines in Florida and hosts weekly foreign power on its Phosphate hopper trains as well as ethanol moves. CN power continues to be a favorite of mine to see in the Deep South.
Coal and steel don't go bad. This album features long, slow, heavy freight trains; drag freights, slop freights, dead freights, etc. Trains with lots of power, and lots of different cargo slogging along behind.
