Serving the greater Pittsburgh area, the Carload Express owned Allegheny Valley Railroad has recently acquired new power in the form of ex-Norfolk Southern SD60M's. On a sunny March morning, one of these newly arrived units is on the point of AVR-06 as it makes a shove move across the Monongahela River from Homestead, PA to Glenwood, PA after working Glav Tech on the south side of the river. The train will return to the yard and pick up cars for interchange to the Wheeling & Lake Erie before heading south once again.
